257 | 260 | I’m grateful to everyone in the community for your trust and collaboration over the past two years. OpenTelemetry’s growth is only possible because of your efforts, and I’d be honored to continue serving as a Governance Committee member to help our community thrive. |

Hello, I'm one of the OpenTelemetry co-founders. Traditionally, my primary focus
has been on API design, technical project management, and facilitation. For every
new project within OpenTelemetry, my ethos has been to reach out to find new collaborators,
give them the support that they need and set them up for success. When a project
is stuck on techincal design, or is missing a designer, then I will also help
bottom line the design work. Examples include the many aspects of the tracing
system, context propagation, error reporting, and our overall approach to stability
and backwards compatibility. When things feel slow or blocked, I can be relied upon
to show up and get them moving again.

I also facilitate conflict resolution, and I am available to all community members
whenever they are experiencing any difficulty or frustration. In general, I try to
keep OpenTelemetry a friendly, drama-free environment where collaboration is easy and enjoyable.

Here's what's new. OpenTelemetry has finished it's initial mandate to create an
integrated system of tracing, metrics, and logs. While we have many exciting new
features and domains that we would love to expand the project into, I believe we
need to spend the next year focused more on stability, onboarding, and ease of use.

I believe that many SDK maintainers have had a long time to think and recieve feedback
from their communities. At the same time, we now have a number features ready to
be implemented to improve the installation and management of SDKs and instrumentation.
Config files, OpAMP, the Operator, and the new Injector are all examples of pieces
that can be integrated into an amazing experience for first time users looking to
do a large-scale rollout of OpenTelemetry.

If re-elected, I will focus my efforts this term on getting SDK maintainers the space
and support they need to make an installation experience that integrates these features,
while also focusing on any language-specific usability issues that they would like to address.

In order to do this, I believe we have to restrain the number of other features
and initiatives that affect the SDKs. OpenTelemetry can move fast if we simplify.
By making installation and ease of use a priority over other features, we can make
sure that maintainers have the space to cook.

I've enjoyed working with all of you over this crazy journey, and I look forward
to doing it again next year! If you feel the same, please lend me your vote for
another term.
