Based on Act LXXIX of 2024, Hungary’s single-member constituencies will change starting with the next parliamentary election, which is likely to take place on 2026-04-12.
The specific changes are:
Budapest: The number of constituencies is reduced from 18 to 16. All 16 constituencies have newly defined geographical boundaries and should therefore be treated as new constituencies.
Pest County: The number of constituencies increases from 12 to 14. All 14 constituencies have newly defined geographical boundaries and should be treated as new.
Fejér County and Csongrád-Csanád County: The total number of constituencies remains unchanged (5 in Fejér and 4 in Csongrád-Csanád), but all constituency boundaries have been modified. Each of these constituencies should also be treated as new.
Also from 2023 new names have been used and we updated them accordingly.
