TRIAS is German API standard for returning transit results both as routing results but also other types of responses like departure boards. It is the predecessor to OJP but still being somewhat actively developed and popular in Germany.

NVBW, the transit agency in the German state of Baden-Württemberg, would like to explore using OTP to power their electronic departure boards.

Implementation

For this reason I raised this topic in the developer meeting on 2024-12-10. We came to the conclusion that it's fine to implement this as a sandbox feature, which @t2gran agreed to.
