Wayne Jackson

Wayne Jackson is CEO of Sonatype. Prior to joining Sonatype, Wayne was the CEO of open source network security pioneer Sourcefire, Inc. www.sourcefire.com, which he guided from fledgling start-up through IPO in March of 2007 to a peak valuation of over $750 million. Before joining Sourcefire, Wayne co-founded Riverbed Technologies, a wireless infrastructure company, and served as its CEO until the sale of the company for approximately $1 billion. While at Riverbed, Wayne built strategic relationships with industry leaders Palm, Oracle, IBM, Symbol and Microsoft, growing the company from start-up to category winner in less than two years. Wayne holds a B.B.S. in Finance from James Madison University and has completed the Executive Education program for Corporate Governance at Harvard University.





Jason van Zyl

Chief Technology Officer

Jason is CTO and Founder of Sonatype, and the founder of the Apache Maven project, the Plexus IoC framework and the Apache Velocity project. Jason has over ten years of enterprise software development experience. He founded Periapt, a company that provided software infrastructure development services to Fortune 500 companies such as Toyota Corp., Bank of America and Coca-Cola Co. Previous to Periapt, he worked as a Technology Architect at Compusense, a world leader in sensory analysis and data research. Jason currently serves on the board of the Eclipse Foundation. He has been involved with the Apache Software Foundation for seven years, helped to found Codehaus, a well respected incubation facility for open source community projects.





Dave Miller

As CFO of Sonatype, Dave is chartered with managing corporate financial activities. Dave brings over 20 years of accounting, financial and strategic planning experience to his role as Sonatype��_��_s CFO, including ten years with Ernst & Young, LLP as a senior manager. Prior to joining Sonatype, Dave was CFO of USinternetworking, a leading application service provider. He led USinternetworking��_��_s financial efforts as it evolved from a start up to a $120 million entity acquired by AT&T. Dave holds a Bachelor��_��_s in Business Administration and Finance from James Madison University.





Larry Roshfeld

Larry is an experienced software executive with more than 20 years of experience in creating, marketing and selling industry leading software products into global markets. Previously, Larry held senior executive positions at CivicUS Research, CorasWorks, Approva, Aether Systems (Riverbed Technologies), Manugistics, IBM and Lotus Development. Larry earned a Bachelor��_��_s degree in Chemistry from Clark University and a Master��_��_s degree in Consulting Psychology from Harvard University.

As CMO of Sonatype, Charles brings over 15 years of executive experience leading all aspects of marketing in high growth software companies. His experience spans start-up ventures and established public companies in both proprietary and open source domains. Most recently, Charles was Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for the DataDirect division of Progress Software where he helped the division achieve seven consecutive years of double digit organic revenue growth. Prior to Progress DataDirect, Charles held executive positions in marketing and product management at Red Hat, CyberCash and Akopia. Charles holds a Bachelors degree in Economics from the University of Virginia and an MBA from Wake Forest University.





Tony Gilbert

Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales

Tony Gilbert draws on nearly 15 years��_��_ of sales and management experience helping large enterprises solve their most complex IT challenges. Known for his solutions-oriented approach and close collaboration with clients, Tony brings an in-depth understanding of IT best practices and their application for solving business problems. Tony joins Sonatype from Netuitive, where he pioneered the company��_��_s sales efforts from inception to market leadership. There he was responsible for driving adoption with eight of the top 10 largest financial institutions, top telecom carriers and the Global 500. Prior to Netuitive, Tony served held senior sales management positions at BMC Software in New York and Brazil. Tony also held sales leadership positions at IBM Corporation. He holds a B.S. in marketing from Arizona State University.





Mike Hansen

Senior Vice President of Engineering

As the Senior Vice President of Engineering, Mike brings nearly 20 years experience building and leading global product development organizations ranging from start-ups to the Fortune 100. Most recently Mike was Vice President of Development for Hanley Wood where he led development across five product lines, including the creation of advanced business analytics platforms for the residential construction industry. Prior to this, Mike was Vice President of R&D for Bantu where he led product development efforts that drove one of the worlds largest private instant messaging networks with the U.S. Department of Defense. Earlier in his career, Mike was part of the early interactive television efforts at Bell Atlantic which, as a byproduct, helped commercialize DSL as one of the initial high-speed on ramps to the internet and later produced Verizon FiOS.
