The extension id does not have to be generated by the browser in the case of Firefox. So, we make one up, using the "email" format. See https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Mozilla/Add-ons/WebExtensions/manifest.json/browser_specific_settings#Extension_ID_format
Provide a default in install-firefox.py. Also, remove a bit of unnecessary Chrome-related commenting.
I think this simplifies things. This could be done for Chrome as well, of course, but I haven't done that yet. Add new, simplified install instructions to README.md.

This improves Firefox support somewhat, mainly by making the native part easier to install.
Let me know if you also think that adding the install logic to the main script is a good idea.
