Not everyone uses VSCode. VSIX artifact publishing allows devs using any VSCode-compatible IDE to use this extension. Please consider adding this so that we can publish the VSIX artifacts via a GitHub workflow.
It also seems the package-lock is out of date, so I am updating that as well in this PR. Happy to remove this, let me know.
