Hidden Shortcuts Actions
System Requirements: iOS 26 or macOS Tahoe 26
Collection of hidden actions in Shortcuts app on iOS and macOS
Usage
- Click the action’s title to install a shortcut that contains only this action
- Open the shortcut
- Copy the action
- Paste it into your own shortcut
Note
These actions are reverse engineered copies of built in Shortcuts actions that for various reasons are hidden in the app’s user interface
Important
Some of the actions should probably be used with caution, for example “Delete Bookmarks”, since it’s unknown whether the code is in a finished state or not
Tip
It’s possible to extract some useful information from the output of the actions, for example the updated value of a parameter – by selecting a different detail for the output type [iOS guide] [macOS guide]
Disclaimer: This collection is based on a shortcut I published October 1, 2025 (last updated signed release), and consists only of actions I’ve managed to reverse engineer using data extracted from local system files
