Read and send Google Chat messages from an Obsidian workspace.
- Browse spaces, group chats, and direct messages.
- Read recent messages and poll for updates.
- Send messages from the Obsidian panel.
- Search the visible space list.
This desktop-only plugin requires:
- A Google account.
- A Google Cloud project with the Google Chat and People APIs enabled.
- OAuth 2.0 desktop-app credentials supplied by the user.
Enter the OAuth client ID and client secret under Settings → Google Chat, then select Sign in with Google.
The plugin connects directly to Google OAuth, Google Chat API, and Google People API endpoints. OAuth credentials and tokens are stored locally using Obsidian's plugin data storage. The plugin contains no telemetry, advertising, or third-party analytics.
