Problem
Permanent retirement removed a node from terminal snapshot obligations and also discarded its unexpected owner-death evidence. The workload did not snapshot that node before retirement, so widening the checker alone would still miss real failures.
Fix
Retirement now collects the stopped container's durable lifecycle log through Docker, even if its VM was already unavailable. The nemesis records this evidence in history independently of survivor snapshots. The checker retains unexpected deaths from every historical snapshot and retirement record, while keeping convergence obligations scoped to survivors.
Missing evidence and bounded collection failures reject qualification instead of appearing as an empty log. Workload setup creates a healthy empty log before mutations begin.
Supporting information
Docker commands have explicit deadlines and timed-out processes are terminated. Retirement collection is bounded to ten seconds and eight MiB; malformed or truncated evidence is rejected. This change preserves the existing unexpected-death log rather than introducing a new conflict or registration journal.
