I disabled unicorn/consistent-boolean-name but saw some value in unicorn/name-replacements and kept it. master/salve replacements were disabled because they are used in the context of network interfaces.

This is my personal opinion:

I agree we don't need unicorn/consistent-boolean-name.

On the other hand, I disagree about the unicorn/name-replacements usefulness.

I understand the idea behind this option, but reading the changes I really don't think the replaced names are better than the original ones.

Using variables ending with an underscore looks really bad and difficult to read.

Personally, I think it's easier to read and distinguish between i and j, then index and index_.
Also, it's harder to ready code like index_++, then j++ (the underscore seems strange... it looks like the variable name includes the plus signs).

Some replacements are not useful:

• j ➔ index_ or len ➔ length_, as explained above;
• btnStatus ➔ buttonStatus: unnecessary because we already use btn for CSS classes;
• val ➔ value and err ➔ error are not necessary;
• alCustomErr was replaced by alCustomError. The new name is still abbreviated and the al part is harder to understand than err (al means alert on this case).

I don't think this option will make our life easier.
