Summary of Changes

Hello @ti-chi-bot, I'm Gemini Code Assist1! I'm currently reviewing this pull request and will post my feedback shortly. In the meantime, here's a summary to help you and other reviewers quickly get up to speed!

This pull request streamlines the management of code ownership and review responsibilities by transitioning from individually listed members in OWNERS files to a more dynamic, alias-based system. By introducing sig-community-approvers and sig-community-reviewers aliases, the project can now automatically sync these roles from a central community membership repository, enhancing maintainability and ensuring consistency across the project.

Highlights

  • OWNERS File Refactoring: The OWNERS file has been updated to utilize role-based aliases (sig-community-approvers, sig-community-reviewers) instead of explicitly listing individual members, centralizing the management of review responsibilities.
  • New Aliases Defined: New aliases, sig-community-approvers and sig-community-reviewers, have been added to the OWNERS_ALIASES file, containing the full list of members previously specified in the OWNERS file.
  • Automated Membership Sync: This change indicates a shift towards automated syncing of approver and reviewer roles from the https://github.com/pingcap/community repository, improving consistency and maintainability.

Code Review

This pull request refactors the OWNERS and OWNERS_ALIASES files to use aliases for community approvers and reviewers, which is a great step towards simplifying maintenance. The changes look good overall. I've added a couple of minor suggestions to sort the new member lists alphabetically to improve readability and consistency.

To improve maintainability and make it easier to find members in the future, could you please sort this list of reviewers alphabetically? This was the case in the original OWNERS file.
