I was hoping to be able to provide an article which is thorough enough to not require this. If a maintainer thinks this is required, they may add it before merging.

A series of consecutive successful hits builds a Combo, which multiplies the base score of subsequent notes.

I don't quite understand why you have added this line. Combos are only used in osu! and osu!catch. Nevermind, I misread.
