Hello everyone!
First of all, thanks a lot for your exporter — it’s an awesome tool that has really helped me with monitoring RDS instances.
However, I noticed that detailed database metrics, such as AWS Performance Insights, are not currently supported. So, I’ve added functionality to scrape these metrics via the RDS Performance Insights API.
Since the AWS Free Tier only retains Performance Insights data for 7 days, this new feature allows you to store it for longer using a standard Prometheus setup — and makes it possible to use these metrics in alerts, dashboards, and more.
I’ve tested this functionality in my production environment, and it’s working well so far. Unfortunately, I have no MySQL instances so i've add only Posrtgres.
I’d really appreciate it if you could take a look and let me know what you think. I’m still working on Grafana dashboards in Jsonnet format, but I can share them later if needed.
