I'm afraid this option still isn't supported with Heimdal 7.4.0 -- it doesn't actually work. The password change is not deferred; Heimdal does it inline in the authentication step. See heimdal/heimdal#322. |

I've verified that this still doesn't work in Heimdal 7.7.0. It's been fixed in the master branch, but that fix still hasn't made it into a stable release. |
