Use alteredString for all filter elements like:

            <fields>
                <field id="functionalci_id" xsi:type="AttributeExternalKey" _delta="must_exist">
                    <filter _delta="redefine"><![CDATA[SELECT FunctionalCI WHERE finalclass IN ('NetworkDevice', 'Server', 'VirtualMachine')]]></filter>
                </field>
            </fields>
