I wrote this code a while ago and at the time didn't like rustfmt but now it looks fine! I don't now if rustfmt or my tastes changed :) |

While working on a different PR, it was disruptive to not be able to rely on rustfmt to format my changes due to idiosyncratic formatting throughout the existing code.
