The primary mission of saayam-for-all is to provide essential services to those in need by bridging the gap between beneficiaries and donors. Utilizing an operational model similar to Uber or Ola, the Saayam app empowers volunteers to facilitate these connections. A key feature of the platform is its ability to geolocate available donors within a specific radius, ensuring timely and localized support for every request.

Saayam Database Background

After extensive technical evaluation, we have chosen to implement a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) over a NoSQL alternative. The project utilizes PostgreSQL, hosted via Amazon RDS to take advantage of its fully managed environment, scalability, and reliability.
