@smol-ninja why do we need new versions since it will be depcrated?

can't we use git commits (in package.json) to install it if its really needed?

Even if it will be deprecated in the future release, I find maintaining versions (atleast until then) a good practice because of:

1. changelog
2. Installing using npm

I think its a good practice even if it doesn't add any value from engineering point of view.
