Purpose
Purpose is to get code installation up to speed and fix some failing tests.
Summary of changes
I made several small changes to ensure that the tests passed on my fresh installation, including merging the recently merged pull request from Ben Bean. I am submitting these so others can see them.
Implementation notes
I ran the unit tests, examples, and full-size scene_reconstruction example. The first example failed; all else passed.
