From day to day development when we use .NET standard library, we could get the idea "that little feature would be useful to have in all my projects". It might be just a few lines of code you keep repeating around. Usually, in those cases, we do Helpers or Utils classes that migrate from project to project.

We tried to collect such little things in one place for the ability to use it in all projects. Also, we focused on having good documentation that lists all helpers.

Top 7

  • StringUtils.ParseOrDefault. Parse a string and if not possible return the default value.
  • DictionaryUtils.GetValueOrDefault. Return value by key and if the key not found return the default value.
  • DateTimeUtils. Helper methods to work with DateTime: start/end of the period, diff, to Unix timestamp, truncate, etc.
  • CollectionUtils.Diff. Get diff between two collections: added, updated, and removed items.
  • EnumUtils. Various methods to work with enums.
  • ObjectUtils.CreateInstanceWithServiceProvider. Creates object instance and resolve constructor dependencies with IServiceProvider.
  • FlowUtils. Methods to work with memory cache and retry strategies.
