Difference between Bioconductor Seurat and CRAN Seurat

I have been struggling to find the reason why the same Seurat and SeuratObject version numbers were able to load a Visium V1 dataset on one machine but failed on another (even when making sure even the dependancies are at the same state and the only difference was base r 4.5.1 vs 4.5.2. As I have no power to downgrade the machine that runs 4.5.2 and that was the one with the error I hoped there was another issue.

And there was.

Installing Seurat 5.4.0 and SeuratObject 5.3.0 from CRAN causes no problem, installing the same versions (supposedly) through Bioconductor does.

The error was the one mentioned in this issue: #10248

Is this a known problem? If not is there an explanation for it that I might be missing?
