Very very very rough draft of the article. While writing, I discovered some bugs in the source code that needed to be fixed before I could include code demonstrations / snippets in the article. This unfortunately hindered my writing progress, but I hope to have those bugs fixed in the next couple of days so that I can add more substantially to the article!

@infinite0x20 - Thanks for the submission. No problem that it came in as a rough draft. We are asking authors to complete their final drafts by July 10 at the latest, so reviewers have plenty of time to provide feedback. If you are still working on the draft at that point, make sure you communicate with your reviewers so you are all on the same page!

Can we explore the possibility of exploring additional metrical forms beyond dactylic hexameter? Expanding Carmina to include elegiac couplets or sapphic stanzas can broaden its applicability in non-epic poetry and educational values. Dactylic hexameter may limit use for poems written in other meters, excluding a large portion of Latin poetry, including scholars interested in genres other than epic poetry.

However, this might increase the complexity of the tool

@SimplyAnshuman Yes, I'm hoping to support other meters in the future! For now, we started with dactylic hexameter since it's one of the most commonly forms (and often the one that folks first learn to scan). Thank you for your comment!

@infinite0x20 - Can we possibly explore using NLP techniques to improve scansion accuracy? This can help identify subtle patterns in poetry data and can adapt to different authors' styles and ambiguous syllabic lengths. Transformer models can help capture contextual nuances.
