This fixes the issues that were uncovered in #1590.
Note that #1592 also addresses these issues in a different way. And although that's also a valid solution, this approach doesn't require putting every overload in
MultiUfunc, keeping the original "one type per multi ufunc" structure.So sorry @fbourgey, but I think that this approach is a bit cleaner.
