HOLD

after a reboot and container restart this stopped working
So there must be a bug hiding somewhere

Roger that. Advise and I'll merge when you're ready.

so this works now, even through reboots and everything.
but I'm asking myself -- why are we always using soapy instead of the native airspy/rtlsdr support?
because the latter would allow us to support biastee for rtlsdr (sadly not for airspy - not sure why, actually -- need to read the source for acarsdec a bit more).
So this PR is a major improvement as in "airspy actually works" (which it didn't before).
But I'm thinking that it would be better to consider switching to native in rtlsdr / airspy support
But before I code this... is there a reason why you had all of them supported via SOAPY?

I don’t know, to be honest. A few years have passed, and there may not have even been a good reason for it.

If I had to guess, it probably had to do with enabling a wider support of devices instead of just rtlsdr which soapy gives us. That said, I’m not sure soapy really gives us any more devices than using the native drivers.

I’m happy to proceed either way.
