FOSDEM 2026 will have a security devroom.
The security devroom is planned for the whole Saturday, January 31th, 2026 in Brussels, Belgium at ULB.

This is the Security Devroom and we invite you to submit a talk that is relevant to security in the free software and open source world. We want to encourage all interesting security-related presentation regardless of topic, but some suggested topics include:
- Supply chain security: Trust and verifiability.
- Software quality tools and best practices.
- Cryptography: classic, post-quantum and transition.
- Hardware-assisted security improvements.
- Security hardening, vulnerability handling and threat detection.
- Secure development tools and practices.
- AI Security: design, models, deployment.
Suggested duration for a timeslot to apply for is 25 minutes (20 min presentation + 5 mins questions).
- Submission open: 30th October 2025.
- Submission deadline: 1st December 2025.
- Acceptance notifications: 6th December 2025.
- Final schedule announcement: 15th December 2025.
- Devroom: Saturday 31 January 2026.
The Pretalx system will hopefully be open for applications no later than October the 30th, 2025.
To submit a talk, please visit the FOSDEM 2026 Pretalx website. Please select the "Security" as the track and ensure you include all the requested information when submitting a proposal.
We'd like to remind all speakers and attendees that all of the presentations and discussions in our devroom are held under the guidelines set forth in the FOSDEM Code of Conduct and we expect everyone attending to follow it.
