With squashfs-tools-ng it will be possible to build a properly SELinux-labeled squashfs image without first labeling the input files on the build machine, and thus the hack/labeled-squashfs script in https://github.com/siderolabs/talos could be dropped after a refactor of the Dockerfile.

It's not quite clear whether this project is being well maintained and/or supported when compared to squashfs-tools.

That script with fakeroot itself is not a problem as I see it
