The Week 2 profiling appendix currently depends on screenshots, which makes the bottleneck analysis difficult for a coding agent to reproduce.
This replaces screenshot requirements with a reusable
gpudebugsession and a text evidence contract, records the exact decode-matvec source lines and cost percentages, and carries each measured bottleneck into the next chapter optimization decision. It also documents the verified macOS 26/Xcode 27 beta setup and beta 4 packaging gap while retaining the Xcode 26 GUI as a manual fallback.Validation included a fresh source-enabled query-projection capture from the stacked branch, a clean mdBook build, and the complete Week 2 reference suite (46 passed, 3 skipped).
