What are the fees to get a profile on SBH?
It is completely free. As one of the 20 winners of the #WeVsVirus hackathon we are getting support by the Deutsche Bundesregierung and others. In the very long term we are planning a Genossenschaftsmodell to keep the platform running and open to everyone.
-
Which cities are online yet?
All the cities! And not just cities, we are open for everyone - no matter where you are located. For now we are focusing on German speaking areas, simply because SBH currently uses German language for everything.
-
Are there any prerequisites for me to get a profile on SBH?
We want to support particularly small businesses, have the least resources and technical knowledge. This means stores preferably with 1-5 employees, up to 10 employees.
-
As a store owner, how do I get my inventory online?
You can currently add a small number of products to your profile, you can upload their details through our registration sheet. Once we have the login functionality set up, you can add more products.
-
How can I update or delete my profile or my products?
For changes or deletions, please write an email to [email protected] (please use the same email address you used for signing up).
-
How will my customers receive my products?
You can indicate preferred ways of transfer in your profile: For example via mail, pick-up or delivery in person (of course while keeping the minimum distance).
-
Does SBH provide a delivery service?
Not yet. Consider delivering in person to customers in your neighbourhood. Alternatives are mail and pick-up by the customers, as long as precautionary measures are taken. We are looking into cooperations with delivery networks.
-
Which precautionary measures do I have to provide in order to let my customers pick up their purchases?
Please check your local regulations. In general, you will have to keep a distance of at least 1.5 metres (better make it 2) between you and your customer. Keep this in mind, when customers enter your store and keep the number of persons limited accordingly. Providing visible signs/marks on the floor to visualise 1.5 metres at the cash register or only let in one person at a time if possible. Ask people who are waiting outside to keep their distance. Encourage people to pay contact-less by card or by using their phones if you support this, to reduce the risk even further.
