Corrupt Mac installation Immediately says move to trash

When you install 0.9.5 on Mac it states that the file is corrupt and should be moved to trash.

Thanks for the report — and sorry for the friction. Good news: the download isn't corrupt. That message is macOS Gatekeeper.

Terrain 0.9.5 is shipped unsigned — we don't have an Apple Developer ID certificate yet, so any file downloaded from the internet gets a com.apple.quarantine flag, and macOS refuses to launch an unsigned app that carries it. The "damaged / move to Trash" wording is unfortunately misleading.

Fix (pick one):​

Terminal — clear the quarantine flag after copying Terrain.app to /Applications:
xattr -cr /Applications/Terrain.app
No terminal — Right-click (or Ctrl-click) Terrain.app → Open → Open in the dialog. macOS remembers the choice, so double-click works afterwards.
You can confirm the state yourself with spctl -a -vv -t exec /Applications/Terrain.app.

If you'd rather skip this entirely, the CLI has no Gatekeeper step: npm install -g @terrain-ai/cli.
