I work on the unglamorous parts of software: storage engines, distributed systems, and the tests that keep them honest. Most of what I build is open, and most of what I contribute upstream is the kind of work that rarely gets funded - coverage, correctness, the failure paths nobody writes until something breaks in production.

Sponsorship buys time. It is the difference between doing this around other commitments and doing it properly.
