Five plugin suggestions targeting gaps that are real but not covered by any of the ~50 existing [idea]/[plugins] issues or by a currently-installed plugin. Each was checked for 2026 maintenance activity (stars/last-push) before inclusion — all are actively maintained, none abandoned or superseded.
1. rmagatti/auto-session (1.9k★, pushed 2026-09-22)
lua/config/worktree.lua already gives the config a strong git-worktree-driven workflow (M.switch/M.list/M.diff_base, tab-scoped tcd), and #171 is an open idea for manual :mksession/SessionLoadPost wiring. auto-session is the maintained plugin that actually does this well: per-git-branch session files (pairs naturally with worktree-per-branch), a picker UI it can drive through fzf-lua/vim.ui.select (matching the fzf-lua-first UI choice already made in plugin_config.lua:61-104), and directory-change tracking — without hand-rolling SessionLoadPost autocmd plumbing. This complements rather than duplicates #171: it's the "actual plugin" answer where #171 only sketches a custom approach.
2. jake-stewart/multicursor.nvim (1.5k★, pushed 2026-09-21)
The config has rich single-cursor editing (mini.ai/mini.surround/mini.move/mini.splitjoin in plugin_config.lua:14-56) but nothing for simultaneous multi-location edits beyond native :s/visual-block. vim-visual-multi (the old standard) has had no push since ~2024 and is effectively unmaintained; multicursor.nvim is its actively-maintained, extmark-based successor and doesn't collide with the intentional s/S remap from sneaks.vim (plugin_config.lua:109-118, which only touches f/F/t/T).
3. XXiaoA/atone.nvim (190★, pushed 2026-08-15)
vim.o.undofile = true (lua/config/options.lua:87) persists undo history across sessions, but there's no way to browse it — the native :undotree doesn't exist and nothing fills that role. atone.nvim is a modern, actively-maintained undo-tree visualizer with treesitter-highlighted inline diffs per undo state, which fits naturally given nvim-treesitter/nvim-treesitter-textobjects are already core dependencies (plugins.lua:33-37).
4. brenoprata10/nvim-highlight-colors (1k★, pushed 2026-05-05)
This config edits raw hex literals by hand in several places — the NvimServer* highlight-group fallbacks in lua/config/server.lua:35-38,43 ("#1E1E2E", "#CDD6F4", "#94ffb8", "#3A3A3A"), and the FxTheme autocmd colors in lua/config/plugin_config.lua:594-597 — on top of maintaining/switching between five full colorscheme packages (rose-pine, tokyonight, eldritch, solarized-osaka.nvim, tinted-vim, dark-theme in plugins.lua:47-52). None of that currently gets an inline color swatch; this plugin is a small, dependency-free win specifically for that recurring task.
5. SCJangra/table-nvim (87★, pushed 2026-03-12)
obsidian.nvim + render-markdown.nvim (plugin_config.lua:373-415) make markdown notes a primary workflow, but there's no table-editing aid — pipe tables in journal/notes entries are currently hand-aligned. table-nvim formats-as-you-type with cell navigation, which is a direct complement to the existing markdown rendering/Obsidian setup rather than a new workflow.
