A multi-stakeholder cooperative governance framework for professional services firms. Registered in England and Wales. Public benefit purpose.
FairShares is a governance model for professional firms that distributes ownership and decision-making across all stakeholders: founders, workers, and clients.
It is not a regulatory framework. It is a constitutional one.
When a firm adopts FairShares governance:
- Every fee earner becomes an equity holder (earned progressively)
- Decisions about firm direction require consensus across stakeholder classes
- No single class can override the others on fundamental questions
- Profit is shared based on contribution, not on hierarchical position
