This PR prepares and adds a traffic crash dataset from this study, making it available as a built-in case dataset in the
pcpackage.Dataset Overview
The dataset covers the Greater Perth Area and integrates spatial, traffic, and socio-demographic variables. Each observation corresponds to a spatial unit with associated attributes.
Variables
The dataset includes the following variables:
crash→ Traffic crash count (count from crash site point)speed→ Average road speed at crash sites (Legal speed limits, unit:km/h)dist→ Average distance to nearest traffic signal (unit:meters)trffvol→ Estimated averaged regional traffic volume (unit:count/day)walk→ Percentage of residents walking to work (unit:%)car→ Percentage of residents commuting by car (unit:%)geom→ Spatial geometry (polygon features)Together with the Loess Plateau precipitation–soil moisture–NDVI dataset introduced in PR #41, this dataset forms the core case study collection in the
pcpackage.
