The Mousekin Race mod comes with built-in compatibility for various official DLCs and third-party mods, details for which are described below.

Compatible DLCs

DLC Details
Royalty • Shattered Empire faction traders will buy (but not sell) various Mousekin raw resources, food, beverages and other intermediate products
• Mousekins cannot wear Imperial Powered Armors (for lore reasons)
• Mousekins currently use female bodytype fallback graphics for Royalty apparel (known issue, will be fixed in future updates)
• Players who align themselves to a Mousekin faction via the Faction Allegiance system will no longer receive honor from the Shattered Empire
• Players with Mousekin colonists who hold titles with the Shattered Empire are locked out from the Faction Allegiance system
• Players who complete the Royal Ascent endgame quest with Mousekin colonists aboard the Imperial shuttle will see extra flavor text in the end credits
Ideology • Mousekin NPC factions each have unique and fixed ideologies:
    • Word of Valerian (Mousekin Kingdom)
    • Agrarian Republicanism (Independent Mousekins)
    • Way of the Rodemani (Mousekin Nomads)
    • Outpawism (Mousekin Brigands)
• Mousekin ideologies do not have venerated animals or noble/despised weapons
• Players running the Mousekin Settlers or Mousekin Refugees scenarios will have their starting ideology pre-set to Word of Valerian
• Non-Mousekin factions will have a lower starting goodwill towards Mousekin factions, due to a "prejudiced against talking mice" modifier
• Mousekins currently use female bodytype fallback graphics for Ideology apparel (known issue, will be fixed in future updates)
Biotech • Mousekins have a custom Mousekin xenotype, with a mouse voice gene
• Mousekins can only breed with other Mousekins
• Mousekin babies can eat Barley Porridge as baby food
• Mousekin children can wear base game children's apparel
• Mousekins currently use female bodytype fallback graphics for Biotech apparel (known issue, will be fixed in future updates)
Anomaly • Mousekins food recipes will not use Twisted Meat as an ingredient by default

• Flagstones and stone floor tiles from the mod can be used to pave Mousekin Town Squares
Alpha Memes • Mousekin ideologies will not use random funeral precepts from this mod, for lore reasons
Combat Extended • Mousekins, animals, apparel and weapons all have built-in patches
• Mousekin ranged weapons require craftable Mousekin-specific ammunition
• Mousekins can wear some CE headgear, carry shields and backpacks
• Firecracker Rocket ammo is only craftable if the player has pledged allegiance to the Indy Town faction via the Faction Allegiance system
Flowers (Continued) • Mousekin beehives will recognize flowers from this mod for honey and beeswax production
• Flowers: desired precept will count flowers from this mod towards garden requirements
Gemstones • Mine Entrances have a small chance of spawning gemstones from this mod as bonus mining products
Jewelry • Mine Entrances have a small chance of spawning gemstones from this mod as bonus mining products
Krysa Race (Continued) • Krysas are regarded as a non-Mousekin rodentkind race by Mousekins, for lore reasons
• Krysa and Mousekin factions have lower than normal mutual starting goodwill, due to a "Mousekin vs. Non-Mousekin rodentkind" modifier
    • The Mousekin Kingdom NPC faction has very negative mutual starting goodwill towards the Krysa player faction
    • The Indpendent Mousekins NPC faction has neutral mutual starting goodwill towards the Krysa player factions
• Faction Allegiance system:
    • Aligning with the Mousekin Kingdom faction will make Krysa factions permanently hostile to the player
Medieval Overhaul • MO cheeses count towards Mousekin's "ate cheese" mood debuffs
• MO cobblestones and stone floor tiles can be used to pave Mousekin Town Squares
• Mousekin Cloverbury cheese is recategorized under MO's cheeses thing category
• Mousekin charcoal can be used to refuel various MO stoves/furnaces/etc.
• Mousekin wheat plant, crop and flour replaced with MO's own wheat and flour
• Steel used in Mousekin crafting recipes replaced with MO's own iron ingots
• Windmills will process MO wheat into flour instead of their original Mousekin equivalents
• Mousekin mine entrances can produce MO ores and gemstones
    • Ores can be configured via mining bills
    • Gemstones are available as bonus mining products
NewRatkinPlus • Ratkins are regarded as a non-Mousekin rodentkind race by Mousekins, for lore reasons
• Ratkin and Mousekin factions have lower than normal mutual starting goodwill, due to a "Mousekin vs. Non-Mousekin rodentkind" modifier
    • Ratkin factions have very negative mutual starting goodwill towards the Mousekin Kingdom NPC faction
    • Ratkin factions have neutral mutual starting goodwill towards the Independent Mousekins NPC faction
• Faction Allegiance system:
    • Aligning with the Mousekin Kingdom faction will make the Ratkin Kingdom permanently hostile to the player
    • Aligning with the Indy Town faction will allow players to recruit Ratkin Refugees to join their colony
• Mousekins have unique butcher and eating thoughts for Ratkin corpses and meat
• Mousekins cannot build Ratkin buildings
• Ratkins get mood debuff from seeing Mousekin Pudgemice pets
Otter Pirates • Otter and Mousekin factions have higher than normal mutual starting goodwill
OverflowingFlowers • Mousekin beehives will recognize flowers from this mod for honey and beeswax production
• Flowers: desired precept will count flowers from this mod towards garden requirements
Progression: Agriculture • Mousekin scenario starting inventories will now include seeds
• Mousekin bulk goods caravan traders will sell seeds
• Mousekin factions will never send agricultural traders from this mod
Reel's Expanded Storage • Mousekin tool cabinet excluded from RES patch that makes all tool cabinets stuffable storage furniture
    • Mousekin tool cabinet is half the size of base game tool cabinet
    • RSE patch makes unilateral assumption about tool cabinet sizes when adding storage capability
    • RSE's Adaptive Storage Framework dependency causes errors when treating Mousekin tool cabinet as storage
    • RSE patch makes untranslatable change to description, with hardcoded references to storage capacity
ReGrowth 2 • RG2 pine trees can be used to construct the Great Pine ideo ritual building
Save Our Ship 2 • Mousekin ears are hidden under SOS2 EVA spacesuit helmets
Simple Recycling • Apparel can be recycled at the Mousekin Seamstress Workbench
Spidercamp's Decorative Plants (Continued) • Mousekin beehives will recognize flowers from this mod for honey and beeswax production
• Flowers: desired precept will count flowers from this mod towards garden requirements
Vanilla Brewing Expanded • VBE alcohol mushes and ciders can be prepared at Mousekin Brewery workbenches
Vanilla Cooking Expanded • Mousekin Cloverbury cheese is recategorized under VCE's cheeses thing category
• VCE cheeses count towards Mousekin's "ate cheese" mood debuffs
• Mousekin wheat and flour are replaced with VCE wheat and flour
• Mousekin Windmills have their flour milling item processor feature disabled
• Mousekin recipes that originally used Mousekin flour now use VCE flour
• Mousekin recipes that originally use Mousekin Cloverbury cheese can now also use any VCE cheese
• Mousekin root beer syrup recipe now require VCE sugar
Cross-compatibility with Medieval Overhaul:
    • Windmill item processor feature will still convert MO wheat into MO flour
    • Mousekin recipes that originally used Mousekin flour will use MO flour instead of VCE flour

VGP Vegetable Garden Project • Mousekin Trail Mix recipes now accept VGP berries as optional ingredients
