πŸ‘‹ Hi, I’m Lukas.

I have about 10 years of experience in software development and design.

  • :godmode: A very active developer, I work on something basically 90% of my free time.
  • πŸ‘€ I’m interested in development, design, art, sound design and composition, game development, hardware and networking, and science, and i'm working on creating my own open ecosystem. I support FOSS and like to create libraries and tools from scratch.
  • πŸ’žοΈ I like to help beginner developers getting started.
  • 🌱 Always learning.

Languages

My top languages are C++ and JavaScript.

JavaScript is the language I have the most experience with and have a quite decent understanding on it's behavior.

Language Opinion Experience
Glitter πŸ«₯ will surely be great ∞ I made it
Intersion Interdimensional travelling ∞ I made it
JavaScript πŸ’– Love It ~6 years, mastered
Assembly πŸ’ͺ Best very small but some (ARM, x86_64)
C++ 🟒 Amazing ~3 years
Shell script 🟒 Cool sometimes
PHP 🟑 Awfuly designed but okay used ~7 years but not much
Python 🟠 Only for prototypes I don't use it, so I don't know
TypeScript πŸ˜• Eh, I guess. I don't preffer it
C# πŸ˜• Java from Microslop Small but I don't like it
Java ❌ Nope. ~4 regretable years, not again
Kotlin Better Java. It's an improvement Minimal, possibly in the future
Rust πŸ«₯ Excited to try Not yet, so far found no good use for it

Operating Systems

I'm a Linux user and I daily drive Fedora (currently KDE).
My first desktop OS was Windows Vista, but I have daily-driven Windows XP, and I love exploring all kinds of operating systems.
My first daily-driver Linux distro was Ubuntu (shocking), but I am not a big fan of Debian.

OS Opinion Experience
Fedora Linux πŸ’– Clean, modern, just works Daily driver
GNU+Linux πŸ’–
Debian-based (Ubuntu etc.) 🟑 Fragile ~6 years+ light use
LiOS πŸ«₯ i'm sure it will be awesome Dreaming
Android πŸ˜₯ Ruined by Google Daily driver, but reconsidering my options
iOS πŸ‘Ž Not for me Versions 12-26, I couldn't get myself to daily drive it
Symbian 🟑 Decent, rest in peace :( At least 4 years, S60, then Belle as well. I'm an OG lol
KolibriOS πŸ’Ύ How is it 1.4MB Tried it
TempleOS R.I.P. my guy Terry Tried it
MacOS πŸ˜• If you just browse the web it's awesome. Not for me though. Most versions, historical and modern.
FreeBSD 🟑 Not enough experience to make an opinion Tried it
Solaris 🟑 Not enough experience to make an opinion Tried it
Windows Phone 🟑 Why tho? v6.5, v8.1, v10 (daily-drived it - its ok, but very inconvenient)
Windows ❌ Bloated, slow, hostile Started since Vista, later tried every major release
Windows 11 ❌ I think this needs it's own category of evil Used for about a year. Not a fan.
