EarShot V1.0.2 changelog:

  1. Added distance attenuation settings for weapons.
  2. Fixed bugs and improved the code.
  3. Added proper support for looped weapons (minigun, chainsaw, spraycan, flamethrower, fire extinguisher).
  4. Added support for replacing goggle's and camera sounds.
  5. Added a possibility to replace footsteps for a shoe by it's texture name as well, not just the model name.
  6. Added support for falling/collapsing sounds for footsteps.
  7. Made after-shot (echoes) sounds not play anymore if the shooter is in the interior.

  1. Got rid of the old interior ambience system, manual ambience can do the trick better.
  2. Codebase cleanup, optimization and bug fixes.

20.09.2025 patch:
List of changes:

  1. Added the possibility of manual ambiences around the map, that are defined in the .ini file "map_ambiences.ini" (path: generic/ambience/map_ambience.ini)
  2. Added support for more audio formats besides .wav (.mp3, .ogg, .flac)
  3. Fixed a bug where a fire sound would attach to a random entity, including player (hopefully gone now).
  4. Made explosions a tad louder.
  5. Added back distant gunshots that were accidentally somehow removed (?)
  6. Added distant sounds thresholds to EarShot.ini.
