Before, we installed all the recommended dependencies. We never automated the updating of them, though. Our dependencies soon became outdated. We made the script upgrade those dependencies.

I'm not sure about this. I could see updating the specific dependencies installed by the script in the first place, but I'm not sure that it would be expected that running this laptop script on an existing system would update everything installed in homebew on the machine? |
