Personas
This page describes the personas that were created from the results of the interviews. We derived 2 primary personas, 3 secondary personas, and 1 supplemental persona. The primary personas will be the basis for creating user profiles, however, the secondary and supplemental personas will add details to these profiles.
A primary persona, depicting a language researcher. The persona has a lot in common with a language teacher persona, but they analyze learner language more, occasionally using corpus analysis tools to do that.

A secondary persona, complementing the language researcher persona. This persona focuses more on teaching, not learner language analysis.

A primary persona for a language learner. This persona depicts a self-paced, self-motivated language learner, often a foreign student. They don't have time for regular daily learning and they want to engage in learning at their own time. They are interested in communicating with other learners and seeing their language learning process.

A secondary persona for a language learner. This persona is highly motivated by competitive solutions, such as comparing their results to others or earning awards and achievements. They are more likely to use the site daily to keep up a learning streak.

Another secondary persona for a language learner. This persona describes a language learner with a different native language than Estonian. This persona is also a high school student and they need more support from their teacher when learning the language.

A supplemental persona, depicting an Estonian native speaker. They won't often use the site to log in, instead they want to quickly check their writings for errors and correct them accordingly.
