In some terminal, when it startups, the PROMPT_COMMAND is empty (ERR: PROMPT_COMMAND=";history -a"),
and in some terminal else, the existance of trailing semicolon ; is uncertain. (ERR: PROMPT_COMMAND="xxxxxxxx;;history -a")
