Update some webpack dependencies and remove unused ones. Replace worker-loader with built-in worker loading functionality and remove default/implied options from the webpack configuration files.

Update webpack and some of the plugins/loaders to the latest version, simplify the config files by removing options that are set by default, fix deprecations and remove
worker-loaderin favor of webpack's built-in worker support (tested).
