Is this project alive?

@svenrademakers @daniel-kukiela can you shed some light?

I see some marketing posts on https://turingpi.com/blog/, but no efforts to maintain the firmware/software stack.

• Firmware is abandoned with the latest 2.1.0 release not mirrored to https://firmware.turingpi.com/turing-pi2/ since February 5 2025 (almost 1.5 years!)
• The flagship RK1 has an OS built circa 2024-02-03: https://firmware.turingpi.com/turing-rk1/ubuntu_22.04_rockchip_linux/v1.33/. yeah I know it's hard with https://github.com/Joshua-Riek/ubuntu-rockchip abandoned, but it's at least honest to give some clarity to the community and potential buyers. I must admit however, there's no chance I'd go arm route in 2026.

At the very least, can the founders work to transfer the project to the community? There are a dozen firmware bugs, UI fixes, etc. which remain to be merged.

I moved on to other projects and my free time does not allow for active development of this project.

Despite silence of the owners, i can see some nice community driven firmware forks taking off. I would recommend to follow the discord channel!

I am however willing to transfer any knowledge or answer questions that you might have about the board. Just make sure to tag me on it!

Just to clarify, most of us here are also on the discord channel already, and have seen the seem silence from the owners. I assume that Max came here due to a related conversation on the Discord channel.

Sorry, closed the issue yesterday by mistake. No, unfortunately I didn't have any time to get back to my TPI 2.0 and 2.5, but it seems i'd have some time in a couple of months, I wanted to get up to speed.
What triggered my curiosity this time is a series of blog posts on the main website that looked like written by LLMs, and I wanted to explore how marketing meets the development.
