We have tried this before. It now seems to work.
This removes scalariform.
scalafmt seems to be the new standard is actually being actively developed:

One change: this does not automatically format. you must run the formatted (sbt scalafmt). It does run a test that the code is formatted. you probably want to add a git commit hook.
