I am submitting

  • a new package
  • an update for a package

Description: staunton is a chess-publishing package for Typst. It renders boards and captioned, referenceable diagrams from FEN, positions, or a full PGN parser (games with variations, move play-out via a built-in legal-move engine, and FEN export); it formats localized move notation (figurine glyphs, NAGs, comments; six languages); and it builds tournament standings, cross-tables, and progress charts from a PGN's results. It also provides document-wide styling defaults and limited HTML export. It aims to be a complete, flexible toolkit for chess publications, which Typst currently lacks.

I have read and followed the submission guidelines and, in particular, I

  • selected a name that isn't the most obvious or canonical name for what the package does
  • added a typst.toml file with all required keys
  • added a README.md with documentation for my package
  • have chosen a license and added a LICENSE file or linked one in my README.md (MIT for the code; the bundled cburnett / merida piece SVGs are GPL-2.0-or-later, covered by LICENSE-PIECES)
  • tested my package locally on my system and it worked
  • excluded PDFs or README images, if any, but not the LICENSE
