## Governance

The UAPI group membership and its specifications are governed as a Free Software project, with the following rules:

* Anyone is welcome to submit comments and reviews.
* Every maintainer has the right to merge changes to all repositories, if they feel that they hold the expertise in the specific area.
* Except for trivial changes, an approval from at least one maintainer who is not the author is required before merging.
* Regular contributors may be invited to join the maintainer team.
