StellAlign v0.1.0 - Initial Release
Welcome to the first public release of StellAlign! 🎉
StellAlign is a precision collimation assistant designed to make aligning your reflector telescope simple, fast, and highly accurate using any USB astronomy camera or webcam.
Whether you are a beginner looking for step-by-step guidance or an experienced astrophotographer needing advanced masking and noise-reduction tools, StellAlign is built to perform out in the field.
✨ Key Features in v0.1.0
Guided Assistant: A step-by-step collimation wizard that walks you through the entire process for Newtonian reflectors.
The Anchor Workflow: Establish a "True Center" calibration system. Use dynamic overlays to Set Anchors and Snap your concentric circles into perfect optical alignment.
Dynamic Masking: Completely eliminate the confusing "hall of mirrors" reflection inside your telescope tube with adjustable inner and outer opacity masks.
Advanced Camera Controls: Take full control of your video feed with real-time frame averaging (noise reduction), software gamma adjustment, arbitrary rotation, and digital zoom/pan.
Accessibility First: Designed for everyone, everywhere. Features native UI scaling (up to 200%), Color-Blind safe palettes, high-contrast text, dashed/dotted line support, and a deep red Night Vision Mode to preserve your dark adaptation.
Workspace Profiles: Save and automatically load your exact camera settings, resolutions, and circle overlays for multiple different telescopes.
