Download and burn Cubietruck Ubuntu Trusty SD image
Boot, log in as root (pw 1234; this will make you set a new pw)
/root/nand-sata-install.sh
Select /dev/nand2 as the root fs device
Say 'ok' to all the prompts. The cubie will reboot.
After reboot, run /root/nand-sata-install.sh again
Make yourself a nice cup of tea or something. This will take a while. :)
If the progress bar reaches 100% and then seems to hang, try pressing Enter. If the installation is complete, the cubie should then shut down.
Leave the cubie off for 30 seconds (I'm unsure whether this is actually needed or not, but it can't hurt).
Remove the SD card and turn the cubie back on (just remove the power cable and plug it back in)
When installing edX, don't put it in /root, or processes that sudo as non-root will fail when they can't cd to the dir
