Creating New Project

If you are a developer who wishes to create a new project for VATSIM Germany, you must adhere to the following guidelines:

README.md and CONTRIBUTING.md:
Every public repository created for VATSIM Germany must include both a README.md file and a CONTRIBUTING.md file. These files should be located in the root directory of the repository and should follow the templates provided by VATSIM Germany. The templates can be found here: https://github.com/vatger/.github/tree/main/templates. The README.md file should include a brief introduction to the project, instructions for installation and usage, and any other relevant information. The CONTRIBUTING.md file should include guidelines for how other developers can contribute to the project, including guidelines for code style, testing, and submitting pull requests.

Note: The provided templates are only designed as a base. These can be extended at any time at the discretion of the project's developers, however must always include the provided basic elements.

Creating the Repository:
Developers who wish to create a new repository for VATSIM Germany must contact an administrator of the organization via email git[at]vatger.de or by contacting an administrator directly. This is to inform the administrators of the new project and to request that they create the repository on the organization's GitHub page. No approval is necessary, but it is recommended that developers consult with administrators if they have any questions or concerns.

By adhering to these guidelines, developers can ensure that their project aligns with the goals and standards of the organization, and that it provides the best possible experience to users and other developers.
