VitaSDK autobuilds

This repository builds and publishes host-specific VitaSDK snapshots from an exact vitasdk/buildscripts revision.

Each package-managed snapshot is assembled as one release transaction. It contains:

  • one versioned vitasdk-core package for every package-client-capable host;
  • one pacman database and files database named for each host triplet;
  • one verified clean-install bootstrap archive for each host;
  • SHA256SUMS covering every release asset;
  • temporary compatibility SDK archives during the migration period.

Published tags are unique (sdk-snapshot-<date>.<run>.<attempt>). The workflow creates a draft release, uploads every asset without replacement, downloads and compares it with the validated build output, and only then publishes it. A published snapshot is never modified.

The package-managed preview covers Linux x86_64, Linux aarch64, macOS arm64 and Windows x86_64. Every host consumes the matching separately released vdpm bundle and verifies both its release sidecar and the SHA-256 pinned in the workflow before incorporating it. Component upgrades are reviewed workflow changes rather than mutable dispatch inputs. Preview releases are marked as prereleases and cannot be promoted to stable.

Channel selection is intentionally outside this build workflow. A channel manifest points to an exact immutable SDK release and an exact immutable packages release after the pair has passed its promotion gates: the packages must record the core they were built against, and the core must belong to the line being published. A release series is a channel, and nightly is the channel for builds that belong to no series, so neither can be pointed at the other's core.

Official Docker Images

autobuilds automatically builds and publishes official multi-architecture (linux/amd64 and linux/arm64) Docker images on release:

  • vitasdk/vitasdk:latest: Base Alpine development image containing the complete VitaSDK toolchain, Pacman package manager, and build tools.
  • vitasdk/vitasdk:non-root: Development container configured with a non-root vitasdk user and passwordless sudo, optimized for CI workflows.
