why not just update wget to v2? |
Two different pieces of software, they are both still being developed, it's actually quite confusing. Look inside the https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/wget directory, they both are there, it seems to be a rewrite, and I've noticed that fedora has wget2 alongside a transitional package to add a symlink |
