Known Issues
- "PiP on Window Switch" doesn't work when swiping to a fullscreen app
- "PiP on tab switch" also enables PiP when swiping to a fullscreen app, even with "PiP on Window Switch" disabled
Important Note
This extension is currently not notarized by Apple. You'll need to bypass macOS security settings to initially install it. Updating works through Sparkle and doesn't need these steps again!
Installation Steps
- Download AutoPiP.dmg file from the releases page and open it
- When trying to open AutoPiP.dmg, macOS will show a security warning
- To bypass this:
- Open System Settings
- Go to Privacy & Security
- Scroll down and click "Open Anyway"
- Open AutoPiP.dmg again
- Copy the .app to your Applications folder
- When trying to open the app, macOS will show a security warning
- To bypass this:
- Open System Settings
- Go to Privacy & Security
- Scroll down and click "Open Anyway"
- Open AutoPiP.app again
- Follow the instructions
- Allow the requested permissions when prompted
